A trip in a car of your dreams? 5,309 kilometers, 7 countries, and 10 days to experience Euro Escape 2017 adventure. Club Mileage's idea is a racing car trip and a chance to see the most beautiful roads of Europe from behind the wheel.
Creating a responsive landing page of the Euro Escape 2017 project. ASAP.
I was asked to support the project's front-end development together with 2 senior devs. To begin with, we had a ready-to-use, pixel perfect graphic design created for 1920px and full flexibility in choosing how it's gonna look like on lower resolution screens. Obviously, Euro Escape had to be mobile friendly.
Beta version had to be ready within few days. Therefore, we spent an amazing and extremely creative coding weekend. During that time I learnt a lot about choosing features to be developed first, and deciding which ones can wait. I also got some practice in quick research on which solution are worth considering, and which won't help.
In order to speed the project up, we used Bootstrap. The site was also enriched with a few JS snippets, CSS tricks, and beautiful graphics.
The biggest challenge from a UX designer point of view was only 1 graphic layout available. Bearing in mind that nowadays the most popular resolution in Poland is 1366x768, having only 1920x1080 available was quite disturbing. Because of that I had 2 roles to play: developing and designing.
Fully responsive landing page of the Euro Escape 2017 project is on the way. Good to provide front-end development support for such an amazing idea!
